Process

I use Google docs. I can use tracking where necessary, and I can either convert to and from Word (docx) or share the document online.

Note: I can also provide editing for a pdf; the process will vary depending upon the document.

I will begin:

• with your draft, whether a personal statement, memoir, or rough article or story, OR

• by posing questions that will assist you in communicating what it is you want to say, and how you want it to be said.

I will edit or write (and forward) a draft:

• in full, for a short piece,

• in part (one or two chapters of an ebook, for example) for a longer piece, in order to provide you a preview and allow me to gain a better understanding of the job and scope

• one piece at a time, usually, if we are doing a set or series.

I will await your feedback on the draft and await your collaborative feedback.

I will then complete or revise the work and, depending upon your specific needs, bring it to a finished form.

Where appropriate and in the case of mutual agreement, we can collaborate through document-sharing on google docs, working in the same document at the same time.
